This little gem is a great spot to stop and run the dog on a trip. There are beautiful clean toilets and a variety of tracks to stretch the legs from a 15 minute loop to 1.5 hours. The huge trees are stunning to wander beneath and it keeps reasonably dry even when raining. The tracks are very well marked and maintained. Highly recommend.
At this reserve, the kids had an absolute blast. They loved exploring the track on foot and also riding the loop to Cheviot and back on their bikes. The middle of the club rooms has picnic tables that are shaded and well sheltered from both wind and rain, making it a great spot to stop for a break or enjoy a snack. It’s a fantastic, family-friendly place with options for all ages to burn off energy and enjoy the outdoors together.
Thank you to the previous reviews. We stopped here on a long journey with our two dogs and towing a trailer. It was a great place to stop with plenty of room for us to turn around at the end. Toilets were clean and well maintained.
Great place to stop and picnic with a covered spot to sit.nGood clean facilities.
Love this place, lovely nature walk, go early and enjoy the quiet being in nature. Covered also in history with plaques that explains it.
