Rj is an Amazing host, friendly welcomeing staff. Beauriful view and venue, will definately be back to party at some stage with whanau and friends.
RJ, Sunshine and the rest of the team were awesome. We had an amazing 21st here and couldn't fault it at all.nGreat venue, hospitality was incredible, DJ was amazing, food was bloody good and of course the drinks were reasonably priced too.nThanks for a great time team!
We held my daughter Nikitas 21st at the Charthouse and it was perfect they made it a stress free night. They decorated, provided yummy food, great service friendly and nothing was hassle. We'll worth the money and it was the best night that Nikita and everyone absolutely loved. I would also highly recommend DJ Louis he was great. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing night we will never forget. You are all so lovely.
Our wedding was held at this venue on Friday 14 November 2025, and unfortunately our experience fell significantly short of what was promised and expected. While there were a few positives, the overall organisation, communication, and professionalism throughout the event were deeply disappointing.nnDespite planning discussions and written confirmations, many key details were not delivered on the day. We were strongly advised to move our ceremony indoors due to an expected downpour, but it never rained — instead it was extremely hot. The upstairs area was uncomfortably warm, and as the bride I was sweating heavily within minutes, with my makeup not lasting even half an hour.nnSeveral décor items we supplied were either not displayed, left untouched, or were damaged. The “happy tears” sign was broken, the seating plan frame was missing and later found broken, bubbles we discussed multiple times were never prepared, and fans that would have helped guests in the heat were not put out. The table setup also did not match the agreed mock-up; it appeared messy, additional items were added without approval, and multiple acrylic name disks were broken and left on the tables. Guests also reported missing tags on the wedding favours.nnWe were also told after the event by multiple guests that the drinks and nibbles meant to be available upon arrival were not set out. When a family member tried to assist, they were spoken to rudely by staff. The stand-in DJ had a very limited music selection and appeared unsupported.nnStaff conduct on the day was another major concern. RJ’s announcements during dinner were inappropriate, including loud comments about which table was “more religious” — something he could not have known and which was in poor taste. He publicly expressed frustration about table number changes, despite these being confirmed multiple times beforehand. Several family members reported rude interactions, and after making his announcement, RJ was largely absent despite saying he would be available.nnBasic facilities were also not properly maintained. The ladies’ bathroom faucet sprayed water everywhere, and instead of being repaired before the event, a wet-floor sign was placed out. I personally had to dry the floor multiple times, which was a health and safety issue in such a small space.nnTo be fair, there were two things done well: the food prepared by Richard and his team was excellent, and RJ ensured that our guest with coeliac disease knew what he could safely eat. The balloon display for the photobooth looked good, though the props were left scattered instead of placed in the container provided.nnOverall, we left our wedding feeling disappointed, let down, and saddled with wasted décor, wasted spending, and unnecessary stress. We invested considerable time and effort into preparing for this day, and the level of organisation, follow-through, and professionalism did not reflect what was promised to us.nnBased on our experience, I cannot recommend this venue.
Have known these guys for a long time and they've never broken their stride! 10/10 experience every time they hosted our wedding and made it more of a special day, we couldn't recommend them enough for your next event!
