All things considered it's not a bad place to play however, the greens are absolutely awful. The fairways are very average. It is a public course though so that does need to be taken into consideration. It's very cheap and if you are just looking to kill a few hours or are just beginning to learn the game it does the job... just beware of the cross country golfers at times it does seem like you are being bombarded with balls from every direction!
Very accessible public course, well priced. Maintenance can be an issue at times but for the price it is a great course. Only downside is you can’t book tee times so sometimes there can be a bit of a line on the first tee.
Chamberlain is public golf course very close to the city centre, booking is not required which is very nice. You can play anytime of the day, just get there pay and tee off. If you need a cart booking is required as normally big groups play there every weekend. During the week on summer time they have the twilight deal which is quite nice. Membership is available and is quite cheap. Staff is very friendly and helpful, course is very well looked after, it is a sham that the council is planning to reduce the size of the course. Hope they can find a solution without having to reduce it.
Loved the course. Fairways could use more water as they dry and hard. But really well priced and flat to walk.
Good public course as to be expected. Excellent rental clubs. Well frequented. Good staff. Lack of signage makes it quite hard to find some of the tee-offs. Ask your way through. Great morning out.
Good course for beginners. Played here multiple times. Greens well drained from spring to autumn, but gets a bit boggy in winter. Cheap green fees and can also hire golf carts
Honestly the value for money is great here. Where else can you find a public golf course in the middle of the City to spend time on, on a midweek day morning and for only $20 for 9 holes.
Totally enjoy this course , pretty hard today as the weather's been wet of late so basically the mud was swallowing our balls that didnt sound very appropriate my bad
Only public courses I could find and enjoy the back 9 hold best.
Some "golfers" have their clubs a few too many inches up there hole and can't let the lads enjoy the tee off
