We hold monthly workshops designed by experienced tutors where you learn & have fun & be creative & think outside the box & sing & dance & move & plan & direct & act & write & dream & challenge yourself & get excited & feel energetic & meet new people & catch up with old friends & just generally have a brilliant time ...
And who can join?
Any school age child can take part in our workshops - we have two sessions held once a month, (most months), on Saturdays.
JCYT = Primary School Age: 1pm -2.30pm
CYT = Intermediate & College Age: 3pm - 5.00pm
Who are our tutors?
Energetic, experienced, talented, qualified & fun people who are all actively involved in theatre both on & off stage. Add into the mix guest tutors who are just eager to share their knowledge & enthusiasm with our youth ...
Is there anything else I should know?
We hold a yearly production on the stage at Centrestage Theatre ... This year we are having two! Our first production, Little Shop of Horrors is in late May and it features our senior CYT students. The July school holidays will see us present Singin' in the Rain JR, an NZ amateur theatre premier! This second show will feature all ages of school students.
