One of the major logistics hubs in the country. Only one long berth/quay which can safely operate one of each container vessel,bulk/logger,car carrier or an occasional tanker.nWonderful folks mange the port efficiently and safely.nBeing a surveyor I am proud to call this as my home.port.
I still wonder when we are going to repair this or build an actual dedicated cruise ship terminal.nWhilst it's not unique to not be allowed to walk inside a working port, it is unique for such a major city not to have a functional terminal. It's actually kind of embarrassing for thousands of international visitors to be greeted to the capital city by timber, containers and imported vehicles jammed between cranes and silos.
Could someone please tell me the address of the Port in Wellington as I have a tour booked and need to supply pickup address thank you
