An amazing sporting facilities area. Plenty of room to stretch your legs on a break from travelling. We stopped to eat lunch at the picnic tables near the duck ponds. Loved the ducks but the picnic tables could do with some upkeep.
I go here often with my dogs. Just a big open field. Would be amazing to get an agility course out the for our fur babies and maybe a watering station too.
So much potential to be a nice park but the Council can't be bothered. Playground offers nothing for older kids. Buildings and courts are run down and there are no decent tracks, despite the large area of land that the park has. Pity Wellsford residents pay Auckland rates but don't get much for their money, unlike the parks etc on the North Shore etc.nWellsford has alot of potential, if only it wasn't always overlooked.
Great Park for everyone, great pit shop for travelers or locals to enjoy. We love bring out daughter to feed the ducks and play on the playground. Which is near the rugby fields.
