Very happy with our stay here. Comfortable room. Quite a few insects in the area so close windows if light are on inside. The restaurant attached had some nice meals which was very convenient. It was very quiet, we were the only ones there, but the meals were made to order and tasted great.
Just stayed at the Caves for 5 nights and the experience exceeded our expectations. Quality of the food was outstanding and the service was second to none, we were treated like family!! We’ll be back and have no hesitation recommending a stay. Linda and Neil, visiting from Brisbane.Rooms: 5/5
It appeared a little run down, and we turned up hoping for a meal. But they said that the chief only works, I think... one night a week at the moment? It was a night that I'd been expecting someone would work, not a sunday will monday or something. However, staff were super super friendly. The room was more than what we needed. Very spacious, never stayed somewhere with so much room. For the price of usually 1 we had 2 large rooms shower room and a balcony. The kids enjoyed running around outside and looking at some goats and animals across the way. The main thing that was annoying was the rooster crowing right outside the window at five a m. I put 5 for location as was perfect for us doing Waitomo caves. Noteworthy details: Nice and quiet except for that rooster
Stayed for work with truck and trailer good parking. Rooms are tidy and showers have nice pressure with potions and lotions supplied. It is noisy due to being along the highway but earplugs are supplied Rooms: Very tidy and good shower pressure
I was sad I only stayed here for one night, as the staff were friendly, the room was beautiful, the comfiest bed I’ve slept on in 7 months of travelling. Lots of room amenities, great hot water and a private terrace too. Only slight issue we had was wifi in the room is restricted to 500mb per voucher, and we ran out of data between two of us. You can buy more however we chose not too. Wouldve expected free wifi the whole stay but we got by.
Modern, clean and tidy rooms excellent shower and air conditioning. Some road noise but not enough to disturb. Friendly and helpful staff. Not far to the glow worm caves or Otorohanga for meals/shopping. Only downsides were 1 no WiFi, despite getting vouchers there were no access points to connect to. 2 there was a light outside our unit which stayed on all night.
Stop off with large group. Everything was good except the traffic noise. It was horrendous. They did have earplugs beside the bed which I thought was nice.
Definitely surpassed my expectations. Room was spotless, bed very comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Want to also mention the lovely service we received from Hine. Very down to earth and friendly.
No air con or key card bad TV and too much air fresh around the spray made breathing in the room hardRooms: 2/5
Good location for a stop overnight and visit Esitomo Caves. Kind people and very friendly servicrs. Affordable rstes for rooms.Rooms: 4/5
