Got off ferry about 11 pm and headed straight up to Foxton where our room was ready for us.nVery friendly manager and a great stop as once you get on transmission gully motorway you are soon out of wellington and you feel you are on the way north. Recommend you to check it out.nWe have stopped here a few times now.
The owner or Manager guy is so friendly so helpful. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 1 night due to an emergency we had to rush back home Akld. The owner/manager guy had so much integrity and was trying to get us a refund but we wanted him to have it as his PR skills friendly helpful personality meant so much more. Thank you so much for the hospitality. Enjoy you drive up to the room. Enjoyed our night there. Thank you

Great wee place stayed 3 nights was warm,clean & cosy,meeting the Local Maori Warden & New Caretaker was great also lots of local knowledge especially on Boating ! Pete the owner was amazing we will stay again :
Really really recommend these guys. Classic smalltown Service laid-back easy-going very helpful and lenience.nI was Tryna very heavy load on a trailer and had a long way to go and some really bad weather it was late at night and I needed to pack trailer up somewhere so I could carry on and get to the appointment which was crucial call in the owner was so helpful and let me drop it off for a week I would have definitely been late and nobody in the city would’ve let me do that so I would definitely want to stay in a place like that.nnThank you very much
