Cannot thank the team at Caring 4 Smiles enough for the amazing quality of care they've provided for me and mum these past few years! Reception staff are lovely and welcoming, and Kelvin is super kind and knowledgeable for all our dental appointments. I want to give a huge thank you to my new hygienist Anna, who I saw for the first time today and is what spurred me to finally write a well-deserved review for Caring 4 Smiles. Anna was so incredibly attentive and non-judgemental with my personal circumstances and I felt encouraged and understood under her care. I particularly appreciated her transparency and sensitivity during our hygiene appointment, where she explained every step she was taking and constantly checked in if I showed any slightest sign of discomfort. This is place is fantastic, I went to them after not seeing a dentist in 12 years and having dentophobia and putting it off. I had quite a lot of pain in my mouth and really bad gums. After a very grim prognosis which involved 3 extractions All wisdom teeth and deep scaling under anaesethic, they started on my mouth. 3 months later my mouth is completely different. The extractions were almost painless and the cleaning had produced results undreamed off. I now have gleaming white teeth and pink healthy gums. But its not just the work they did, but how friendly and clean the place is. Dr. Calvin Tay was helpful and not only showed me how to take better care of my teeth, but also how to change my whole psychology around dentistry and oral hygiene. I will never neglect my teeth again. If you are petrified of dentists and haven't been for years. Go to these dentists - they are not humans, they are magicians. Okay it wasn't the cheapest dentist, but the treatment was worth every cent and they are entirely transparent and honest with you. They have fantastic chairside manner and they don't judge you like many places I have been to do. PS Photo is after treatment and I am in my late 40s.
Finally worked up the courage to write this review ! I have mixed opinions on this place so will share both the negatives and positives to help others like me in the future! When I came to this practice in 2019, I was very nervous and shy and hadn’t been to the dentist in many years. I had specifically sourced out this practice due to its 5 Star reviews. Upon arrival I remember feeling like I “didn’t belong here/I wasn’t rich enough for this place” as the welcoming wasn’t all that warm! However they were still professional and kind to me and I was conscious I was feeling hyper aware of things which could skew my judgment. I saw the Dr, who upon meeting me was kind and thorough. He asked many questions which put me more at ease. I had an X-ray done which was reviewed and explained to me. He said something along the lines of “if you had come to us earlier we would have been able to fit your jaw from sticking out so much”. I was quite taken aback from the statement and it unlocked a new insecurity for me that I have only recently got over :-. At this point in time though I hadn’t taken it to heart and proceeded to book my next appointment. At my second visit, the Dr became quite agitated at his assistant which made me very uncomfortable. I felt like defending her but couldn’t with everything in my mouth, so I just had to listen. Other than that it went well and I remember thinking as I was leaving “I’m going to give this place a 5 star review” until the doctor called after me to come back into his office, put his arm around me, pulled me in close and said “we looked after you well, give us a good review!”. I was extremely uncomfortable by this gesture, not understanding why it was necessary at all. I decided I felt unsafe in that moment and made the decision that I never wanted to go back/have a male dentist. This may seem like ‘small inconveniences’ or that the Dr may have ‘meant no harm’, but it stuck with me for a long time and made me feel unsafe / unhappy. It’s important to understand and respect personal space and keep professional communication and boundaries. If not for that interaction, I would have continued visiting this practice. Positives: The teeth cleaning was great! Didn’t feel judged and was well informed on what to do next. She explained what she was doing as she went and made sure I was comfortable. The reception staff allowed me to pay off my dentist bill slowly post procedure as I became very unwell and struggled with Covid unemployment. I will forever be grateful for them for their kindness and patience regarding that. Overall I do recommend this practice and see that there are new surgeons who may offer a better experience, but if you are an anxious / weary / financially challenged individual, I recommend elsewhere !
I have been with Caring 4 Smiles for something like 7-8 years; I chose them specifically for their great reviews. After having a bad experience or 2 with other dentists during high school, I was really put off, but they have taken care of me and helped restore my teeth to a healthier condition. I still get nervous of needles but it's always a nice experience when I go in and very personable. I felt comfortable, and confident enough, to get my wisdom teeth removed under GA; with no problems healing afterwards and less pain than I expected. Everyone I have dealt with has been great, and gentle, and have cared about the long term health of my mouth which I really appreciate. I wouldn't go anywhere else
I chose Caring4Smiles on my daughter's recommendation and I was not disappointed. I found the team to be friendly, highly organised and welcoming. The modern technology used added to the high standards provided by the practice. My first examination with Dr Sanika turned out to be extremely positive and her focus on 'preventative care' provided the encouragement I needed to continue with further appointments. Dr Sanika's experience, skills and committed care were exceptional. It made me feel quite relaxed and comfortable under her care. Within a week I made a further two appointments with the Hygienist and for fillings. Once again I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly and efficiently these appointments went. I acknowledge the superb work of Hygienist, Alex Azar and her assistant, Jessica and Dr Sanika and her assistant, Danielle. My next appointment with Dr Sanika in a year has been confirmed. This is definitely the pinnacle of 'preventative care' and efficiency. I highly recommend Caring4Smiles and will be encouraging another family member to use the practice soon.
I visited Caring 4 Smiles at Epsom yesterday and had the privilege of being treated by Dr Adam Richardson. Dr Adam was absolutely amazing and this was one of the best experiences I ever had at a dentist. Superfast, highly professional and with an almost instant desired result. For years now I’ve had amazing dental care from Loy and his team. Their team is incredibly personable, friendly and very talented at what they do. My smile has stayed amazing for years and years due to their comprehensive examinations and careful documentation of my oral health. An innovative team who always smile back. I went to Caring 4 Smiles to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and I highly recommend them and Dr. Sanika! I was very nervous about getting my wisdom teeth taken out with only local anesthesia; however, Dr. Sanika was incredible. She made the experience completely painless and walked me through every single step. I cannot thank Dr. Sanika enough for doing such an incredible job and taking good care of me!
I would highly recommend Caring 4 Smiles Dental practice to anyone and everyone seeking a trustworthy, friendly and efficient dental team. After hearing through my brother how positive his dental experience with Dr. Loy was I thought I should go to Caring 4 Smiles and check it out considering I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a few years. As I walked in the door the atmosphere was welcoming, I was greeted with a warm smile and was instantly put at ease as I am quite a nervous character especially when it comes to the dentist. Dr. Loy is the best dentist I have come across, he is caring, wants you to feel comfortable and very he is very professional. After being very anxious about having to be awake during my wisdom teeth extraction I certainly felt ridiculous after as I couldn't believe how efficiently, effortlessly and painlessly they were extracted so you can feel at ease that Dr. Loy is to be trusted and definitely knows what he's doing. I could go on forever about how wonderful my experience at Caring 4 Smiles was and how kind the team are but I think anyone reading this should just go and experience it for themselves. They well and truly deserve a 5 star recommendation and I am so thankful for all they amazing work they have done.
