Cardrona Alpine Resort, NZ

A wonderful ski resort with a great range of slopes to suit all skill levels. Supporting elements are also exceptional for the region, with a cafe, restaurant, fully stocked ski shop and I mean fully stocked, accommodation on site, another restaurant, equipment hire and easy transport to local towns. Honestly, just go here. It’s great.

Great first timer experience with brilliant instructors in lessons across the two days. Crowded both days simply due to great weather and being post covid. Plenty of resources from the shop, rental, accommodation, storage lockers and food. The food options up on the slopes are ridiculously overpriced though so pack some food and drink from home.

A big shout out to the crew in the work shop. Fixed a binding issue, adjusted a boot fitting, waxed a set of skis all with a smile and free chocolate to boot. Great crew there and congratulation to the the staff on the lifts for smiles all round to skiers and especially the relaxed atmosphere around the kids. Well done Management, well done Staff

Beautiful ski field with breathtaking view! Had a great time, love the vibe at the base camp. My best ski /snowboarding experience in nz so far! Highly recommended.

Big ski area with some wide, open slopes but not so many long runs. Best suited to snowboarders looking for the large play areas, which are superb. Difficult drive up from the valley below, from dust clouds to mud to snow. Great, helpful staff.

What a difference experience it is to go up here when it’s the summer weather. We decide to hike it and soak up all the experiences this place has to offer under the beautiful sun. We climbed right up to the summit. What a beautiful place with such an amazing view, worth a go

Went up for a look around on a lovely sunny day , be prepared for a steep hill climb and a bumpy ride as it a long Windy road to the top , but definitely worth it as the veiws are pretty spectacular ! You can walk up the track to the top or take the gondola we walked the track as it's pretty easy and not steep

It is a great field from beginner up to advanced with lovely snow. Also reserve some time for the other part of the Snow Farm on the exact opposite side of the valley, NZs and in fact Oceania’s only dedicated cross-country skiing trails suitable for the whole family. Very friendly:- The roads up to either field take a bit of getting used to but the Cardrona side is well maintained and they help you out with the parking with free shuttles.

Simply stunning views and great for winter sports. Super long runs and short queue at the lift, comes with gondola too so young kids can easily ride. I had a concussion and the medical service was great and only costed less than $50.

Amazing ski resort. Perfect snow, lots of ski runs for all abilities. A range of bars for the mulled wine tastings. Food easily available.
