Purchased the car from here, was assisted by a great salesman who was quite experienced and knew his trade. I had some problem with my car and took it to them who assisted me right away, checked my car and gave me some advice to follow to get it fixed.nGreat kiwi business.
It was a couple of years ago. Brought a car from them that instantly had issues. Kept taking it back and they couldn’t find anything wrong although I provided evidence videos of it jolting as they requested. Eventually I advised them I was not happy with the car and wanted a refund - this turned them completely sour and unreasonable. They told me I was being dramatic. As a young woman, I felt they did not treat me the same as they did when there was a man in my presence so I felt I always had to have the support of my dad or my manager there, which is disappointing in this day and age. Often they would talk to my dad on the phone while I was there and be respectful, and then as soon as the phone call ended they would change their behaviour towards me.nThey eventually said ok, bring the car back we will take it. So I drove down there only for them to tell me the boss had changed their mind and that I needed to leave the premises. When I tried to argue they can’t agree to one thing then just change Jeremy and the other sales guy Brian? just turned and walked away from me.nnAfter assessments from independent mechanics who confirmed there was a problem, and many months of arguing, they eventually took the car back.nnThis was the worst sales interaction of my entire life. I would advise everyone, but particularly young women, to steer clear.
I've been using Carbase for the last 7 years or so and I can't complain about the service I've had, a trusted company. Just a shame about the loss of the free warrant of fitness charge, but understandable.

Always make sure to carry out car inspection before buying a car from this dealer. I bought an european car and they forced me to get a MBI which later on I found out why after just 2-3 months. Piston has to be replaced and costed over $1000. Engine oil leakage on the car was a bonus. I might have been unlucky on my purchase but always make sure to do INSPECTION.
