The most immaculate place I have stayed ever since I departed from my homeland in the Pacific Ocean, namely Fiji. The fact that the place is somewhat isolated from any main thoroughfare adds to the overall ambiance of serenity. You can feel the sea inlet down from the residence and the birds plus the rolling hills surrounding the enclosure of the sea. Opposite the Lookout you get a view of Port Chalmers where some container shipping takes place. It is a relatively small port, however it is extremely self- contained and has all the modern equipment for loading and unloading. It would be a drastic move for the environment to be destroyed in any way around the Otago Peninsula. The cleanliness and lack of discarded waste makes the area second to none. Sincerely observed. We were so lucky to find this place! Ana provided a well-appointed room with en-suite bath, balcony and marvelous view. Everything was perfect. The breakfast included delicious homemade bread, fruits, yogurt, cereals, cooked items to order, on and on. We feasted every morning. Short walk to places to eat in the village. Highly recommend.
