Cape Foulwind Walkway

Really pretty walk. Did the return walk from Tauranga Bay to the Lighthouse in about 1.15 comfortably. A couple of steepish section but really anyone should be able to complete it. Stunning views of the coastline and of the seals playing at the colony. Worth it for sure

Well made coastal path which leads to a seal colony, car park at the lighthouse side of the walk. I never made it all the way as the path is quite exposed and the weather was closing in so didn't want to take the chance of getting soaked.

Very easy walk from Tauranga Bay carpark to Seal colony less than 10 mins, lots of seals most of the year and often a penguin or two. Plenty of weka on the walk in. The full walk is several hours, its a good track with great cliff views but the flora is not very exciting. Having said that there is an active planting programme.

We got there on a great day! Track repairs are great.
