Lightly travelled trails. Not many people, some families enjoying tobogganing and skating. Will definitely bring the kayak to paddle the pond and explore some more this spring
Fun place to learn and sample maple syrup....from the tapping of the tree to the swirl of toffee on a popscilcle stick...you will be shown just what entales in the making of Canadas Liquid Gold. From the slightly sweet sap water to the finished bottled syrup you will be interested in every aspect. Wagon rides were also offered.
The park is lovely and really nice during the fall. Stick to the marked paths as it is very easy to get lost in these forests
Fun for a hike, nothing too strenuous or long here.
We camp here yearly for Canada Day and Thanksgiving. We rent the area by the pavilion, which is very accommodating for our large group. In the summer the pool is very refreshing and clean. The water is fun for the kids to canoe in. The trails are groomed and its a beautiful hike. Lots of activities to do at the campground.
Hiked the Lake Trail here today. It was 2km and I would say somewhere between easy and moderate difficulty because of the hills along the way. I would recommend: waterproof footwear because there were a lot of deep muddy sections, long pants because of the poison ivy beside the trail, and bug spray because there is some stagnant water you walk beside and long grass sections you walk through. All in all it is a fun hike, just come prepared. I gave 4 stars because they could use some additional boardwalks for the muddy sections.
Awesome sledding hills. Ice was a little rough but kids still had so much fun.
Nice spot. Trails are not well marked. Water is high so not able to cross Creek on Yellow Trail today. Some fabulous, beautiful old trees! Lots of damsel flies and dragon Flies to photograph. Lots of birds today, even an Orchard Oriole. Lots of potential Nature photographs. Mixed Tree trails. Nice day spent here.
Great staff! Awesome park. We stay here several times a year and enjoy every visit. Plenty of biking/hiking trails with hills. Frisbee golf, mini golf, pool, kayak and canoe rentals. Tons of stuff to do. Super relaxed environment.
