For me one of the best organic wine producers in this country. Lance has a great philosophy and it shows in his wines. Id say this is one of the vineyards you must visit not only in Martinborough but in New Zealand.
Great winery in martinborough, specialising in natural wines. The tasting is a great option but also a great spot for a glass of wine and a platter.
My family and I came on Friday late in the day and had a lovely experience. They made us a lovely vegan bread platter. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine and upsold us on a few bottles - apparently he had only worked there six days! He did an amazing job.
We dropped in while cycling around the area. We were given a great tasting of some unique organic wines and an amazing platter for two. Would recommend if you're after wine that's a bit different!
Have just enjoyed an outstanding wine tasting at Cambridge Road Winery. It was towards the end of the day but our hostess was interesting and informative in an entirely unfussy way and went over and beyond the time limit to be helpful to us. What the Winery is doing with 'natural' wine and different blends and techniques is fascinating. I really recommend a visit to the cellar door and better still if you're staying in Martinborough it's just a walk not a drive.
