I recently had a great dining experience at Cafe Turquoise in New Plymouth. The food was delicious, with a wide range of options to choose from. The portion sizes were also generous for the price, which was a nice surprise. Overall, I would definitely recommend Cafe Turquoise as a solid place to have dinner or a cheap eat. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, this is a great place to visit.
Currently visiting NP and was looking for place to eat at times where most restaurants are on siesta break..., glad to find out cafe turquoise. Service is friendly and quick and most of all good is good and tasty. Meats are cooked properly serves with 4 sauces and did I say, salad here is made fresh. Thank you cafe turquoise for a nice meal, will see you again before we head back to Akl.
Food was fantastic, mixed iskender was a large portion that was very tasty and filling. Fresh salads and well seasoned meats. Service was fast and efficient from professional staff, no complaints. Atmosphere is good, clean, relaxed, not cramped, indoor and outdoor seating. Reasonably priced, good location. The experience was so good I went back again the next day. I used to get cafe turquoise every Friday night with my Flatmates, was like a thing. Mixed meat on chips Was $20 and the box was rammed full of meat, chips, salad and sauce. Winner. Haven’t had it in a few months and thought I’d give it a go again. Ordered, picked up, came home. Opened the box, and the portion size has, I would say halved. Barley any meat on there, and the tiniest bit of chicken possible. Next to no salad and a little bit of sauce. I sent photos to their Facebook page and gave them a call to see what was up, as this didn’t seem the norm. Bloke on the phone said that’s the way the portion sizes have always been. I said it’s not as I could find photos on my phone if it when it was massive. He changed his mind and said that the portion sizes have changed now prices have gone up to $23. He said that if I wanted to I could go down and get another one, but would’ve been pointless if the portion sizes are smaller now. Anyway, much better value for down at Devon’s Turkish or Sumela. Will tell my mates and won’t recommend to anyone.
Beautiful food and the portion size is big I would have loved more salad and it was so fresh and complimented the meat and rice so well Kid-friendliness: It had a great kids menu as well

Best place in NZ for kebabs... literally will drive from Auckland just to eat their food. Haven't touched another kebab since trying this place... which really sucks when you're 5 hours away and craving haha I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!Food: 5/5
Unbeatable Kebab! Best i have tasted in NZ. Great if they open a branch in Auckland!! Owner told me all the kebab meats are selfmade....not bought! Highly recommended.
Almost 5 star. Yummy. One of best kebabs I've had. Fresh as. Don't try hide anything as they make in front of you. Very good. Yum .
