Good atmosphere! bustling and busy, a few lovely employees. I bought the tiramisu because I love tiramisu!! however, I tried it today, the lady fingers were soaked in some sort of sour watery mess, the cream had turned custard-like and gelatinous, and the entire dessert was neutrally flavoured and sour - slightly funky. i don’t know if i got a bad one or i somehow DOUBT stored it wrong i stored it in the fridge but how do you mess up one of the easiest desserts to make coffee is not that hard to make! sour juice does not cut it sorry :
Had amazing experience at Cafe Laz Newtown, especially the blonde staff member? not sure her name, but she was amazing! Had to give her a tip, I had a Mixed Kebab with Extra Onion, and wow! A burst of succulent flavours, coated my taste buds with an emotional roller coaster, I bow my hat to you all, the best food I’ve ever eaten.Food: 5/5
OMG this is the best Falafel Iskender I have ever tasted! We could tell at the outset it was going to be good as the place was buzzing with a steady flow of customers arriving. The staff took it in their stride and provided quick prompt service. I’m looking forward to my visit!Food: 5/5
Livery Turkish meals - tasty flavours with a wide range of dishes. The portions are large with each plate coming with dips and sauces. Not your usual run of the mill Turkish restaurant. Licensed and BYO. Large seating area at the rear - can seat groups.
After a stressful day of pedantically writing my geography report, I attended my sisters graduation, where she became sore in her elbow and at the end she had a big lump covering her elbow and half her forearm. We frantically took her to the after hours in Newtown, and were told it would take an hour to see the doctor. At which my point, my parents and I footed it down the road to this place and left my sister and her bf at the afterhours. And man, this place was a Turkish Delight ; with quick service, friendly staff and fresh food. On top of this, while we were eating, they played some bangers from Adele, Arctic Monkeys and Taylor Swift. After this we profusely thanked the staff before running back down the road to my disgruntled sister. Thank you Cafe Laz for being my saving grace on such a rough day!!!!!

Ive being in and out of cafe laz for maybe 20 years and ive had amzing food here and arrage food but todays Vegi iskander was Bloody amazine, please keep up this quality of food and service i will be recomending his to every one as the best in Newtown.
14 $ for a large lamb kabab roll, dude was there really lamb in it? Heaps of salads but very little meat. You guys can do better than this. Came here with lots of expectations coz of the reviews. Me and my mate felt the same. Lots of salads just meat is rare to find.
Biggest kebab I've ever bought I've bought a lot of kebabs. Staff were fast and friendly. The food was very tasty. Would visit again.
