Beautiful food mixed in with great service and natural environment, 2 play areas. Casual n chill atmosphere on Saturday afternoons for us and we linger there long after our meal. Go feel it out, you will tell others about it tooFood: 5/5
Great meals , huge in size . Amazing Flavours.Food: 5/5
Wonderful service, great atmosphere, and pretty good food for the most part. I would have liked to give five stars but I was very disappointed by the Cajun chicken salad - the lettuce was warm and soggy, the bacon was more like luncheon, there were only a few tiny burnt cashews in it. A shame as the nachos that I also tried were fantastic!
Amazing dining experience by far. The food we order exceeded our expectations. We love. All of the food on the table and with the price we paid it's all worth it. Having outdoor play area for an active toddler like our son is a plus for a fine dining like the cabbage tree. It gives the family time to go out and dine in a fancy restaurant without worrying of having kids with them. Our boy enjoyed the art material that was give to him too so it's another plusGreat place, and customer service
The best thing about this place is the staff. Everyone is always really nice and accommodating. It doesn't matter if you are only having a coffee or dinner. We always feel welcome. The only reason I give them 4 stars is that there is no sign or barrier when entering the playground, which is now closed for maintenance or repairs. It is written on a blackboard by the entrance, but if you don't look at it, you miss it.
Won't even give them a one star if it was down to me, but google won't accept my review unless I do. Booked to find out on arrival that they couldn't provide a meal due to a power outage. Could have rung & saved the trip. Staffed looked confused & unsure what to do and unapologetic. Was told The Manager would be following up.....instead the follow up was to cancel our booking an hour later. No follow up call & when I rung how disappointed I was in the service we received, it was very unapologetic. Would be a long time before I return to this establishment due to the rudeness of the staff. Shame as the place can be a goldmine if it's run right. And looking at your reviews...well it's happened before. Poor service & they don't deserve your money
Would go back for the man in a bun. It appears he's well experienced in hospitality and showed attentative and understood customers service. However food is average. Dried lamb shank and pork ribs. Overcooked chewy mussel, and not sure what Tiramisu is made of but definitely not Savoiardi and Mascarpone. More like Tiramisu flavoured chocolate sponge cake. Overall $200 for 3 people is ok. Service is better than the food.
Passing through pit stop wow what a cool place fantastic atmosphere xo Excellent service beers ice cold we had the panfried onion rings as I'm severely allergic to fish and most places fry everything in the same oil. Staff was fantastic in understanding our needs 10/10 for hospitality and service. A must stop for a great feed.
Menu is much better not the 10 pages it used to be. Great atmosphere good for kids on sunny days. The food was up to scratch and would go again as i hadn't been there in a long time.
If you visit Invercargill at the southern end of the South Island in New Zealand, you should definitely pay a visit to The Cabbage Tree Restaurant. This popular pub/restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. I had dinner there with my daughter in September and we couldn't fault the food. The portions were of a good size, well cooked and presented and the friendly manager was on hand to make sure we were enjoying our meal. I would definitely eat there again. Depending on what time you eat, carry on another couple of kilometers and the beach is at the end of the road. There you will see the most beautiful sunsets, weather permitting of course. unfortunately Google won't let me add photos Parking: Ample parking on both sides of the building
