My 3 yr old liked it. The farm route was more of a hit for him as he got to feed some baby animals.nThe Dinosaur route was also great. The water where the massive octopus is in is very dirty. The train ride is also okay for the price. Crocodile enclosure was very quiet. Reckon a bit more excitement could be amended. For entry price I'd say the price could be adjusted less as it takes a very short time to go through the entire place even while taking your time.nOverall, a good experience if you want to spend little time for max experience in that time frame. Good place for visitors to the country try to hang out at while waiting for their departures.
We went to Butterfly Creek with the family, and it was amazing. We saw dinosaurs and lots of animals and The two big alligators was probably a highlight for many, the kids were both scared and thrilled to see it up close, was it just a viewing and the kids loved all the fun activities. The butterfly garden was beautiful, too. We all had a huge blast together.
This was our second time visiting Butterfly Creek and we bought tickets through Book Me. We last visited a few years ago, and since then they have added an entire new playground area. Our daughter has been asking to go back and this visit absolutely did not disappoint. We went on a Saturday afternoon and parking was easy enough. We didn't have to wait to get in at all. There are so many different cool things here for both kids and adults. The butterfly area's are so nice with so many butterflies flittering around. There are also fish, lizards, otters, meerkats, little cotton top monkeys, etc. and they even have Kiwi here. The farm area and barn are super cool and our daughter was lucky enough to get the chance to have a turn at hand feeding the goat kid and lamb. We paid a little extra for train tickets, which loops around the park and of course, all the kids love it. From mythical creatures to dinosaurs, there really is something for everyone. We were also really impressed with the shade covers throughout the park, as so many places don't consider this. A great family day out and highly enjoyable.
Butterfly Creek was absolutely awesome! 3 year old can't stop talking about it! Great value for money and so much fun. Plenty of parking, super kind and helpful staff. We took a wheelchair around too and it handled most of it really well. It was such a fun and underrated place. We can't wait to be back!!!
Real live kiwis for those who want to see some. Small in size but still worth a visit. Restaurant/cafe and gift shop on site. The train ride is packed. I recommend skipping it and just doing the walk. Close to the airport. Good for tourists staying close to the airport. Perfect for dads to bring kids to enjoy while mom shops at the outlet.
