An educational well run tour capturing and showcasing a little bit of our whaling history. We thoughouly enjoyed Jan's informative tour. There is a little museum and attached shop,a lovely garden and original house to see, as well as nice toilets. After the tour you are free to go and walk to some other sightseeing locations, so take your picnic, camera and water.
A wonderful experience. A must do if you enjoy learning about the history of an area. 2 hours well spent. Wished we had taken a picnic an stayed on. Could easily have spent 3 hours there
A fascinating window into a different world.nLizzie, our guide, was excellent.nWe left knowing a lot more about whaling and grateful to be on land!
Fascinating to hear about the history through Jan our tour guide, well worth it, the museum is excellent. The gardens and house tour was an unexpected highlight. Go to the Pa site, and check out the 12metre wide Pohutukawa tree!
