Amazing atmosphere and food. I was starving and this food was amazing and so reasonably priced! I had some of the bao buns, mussels, side salad, and side of shrimp! Others in my group had the seafood salad. We were too full for dessert but other tables getting it looked amazing. Everything was delicious and there was soooo much seafood! Amazing lunch!
I recently had the chance to dine at the Buster Crabb bar with my partner, and I was really impressed with the overall experience. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was stylish, with a history theme that added a unique touch. The selection of beer was excellent, and the prices were on the higher side, as expected for a place of this caliber. Overall, I would highly recommend the Buster Crabb bar for a special occasion or a night out with friends. The delicious food, excellent selection of beer, and stylish atmosphere all make it a great choice.
Amazing menus and delicious food! We stayed in town for 4 nights and had dinners there twice. The food is very rich in flavour and reasonably priced. The building and room is elegant as well. Will definitely visit again!
Food is amazing and worth every penny. Each morsel of this duck leg is divine. The duck is cooked well, mash is worth every calorie if you are on a diet. Walnut crumb is amazing, i wanted more of it. And the grapes is so good; its refreshing and cleansing to the palate. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is perfect. There's quite a wait before the food is served but its all worth it. Perfection or near to it takes time
My husband had burger with a WHOLE BEEF STEAK inside. It was super good. We initially thought it would be too dry but it was perfect! Glad we managed to get some oysters too, after realising that Fowlers werent open that day. Garlic prawns and fried egg were great choices of sides too. Had a good time reading the menu and the story of Buster Crabb, came in an interesting form of a newspaper. Give the restaurant a try! :
Beautiful ambience. Very busy for Mother's day yet the friendly efficient staff had this place pumping with quality food and an amazing amount of speed getting the tables cleared for the next lot of diners. Well worth paying for the high end value
I actually hate to leave less-than-stellar reviews, but we were pretty underwhelmed by this place after seeing its ratings. The portions were a bit stingy for the price. As a San Franciscan who has eaten my fair share of our native cioppinos, I don't think I've ever before been unsatisfied after one. It was a bit over-salted too, which balanced out my husband's slightly underseasoned blue cod. The staff were lovely, friendly, and attentive. Overall not a bad experience, just underwhelming. I absolutely don't mind paying for a great meal, but this was higher priced than a lot of other options without being special enough to justify splurging.
We were looking for a restaurant when we got Invercagal on the last flight last night. So we camo to Buster Crabb and we met a woman who born in here but has lived in Wellington now. We also have lived in the same area of Wellington as she does. She was so happy and told us that she has liked this restaurant very much and she visited here everyday recently. So we booked a table for tonight because they only serve alchol after 9pm. We ordered some food and drinks from a story menu. Two special starts were tried first. One is a Japanese style another is a Chinese style. Both of these two dishes are improved so the taste are little bit different but I like. The main course and oysters were also delicious. And a lovely girl to service us. How is a nice dinner!
Amazing and fantastic sized meals that you won't walk away hungry. The chef understands the complexity of seafood meals and taste this was truly an enchanting experience and recommended to all that come. The meals came out fast an this was a new standard for my own dining out experience. 9/10
Found this place on an unplanned trip to Invercargill and Bluff by blind luck. We were looking for Bluff oysters and found them here at almost half the price as Queenstown. Very relaxed atmosphere, great food, wonderful presentation, and nice wine list. This was our last day before returning home, so it proved to be a very memorable experience.
