Empowering Women
BPW Franklin members meet each month for a guest speaker or other activity, whilst enjoying a dinner. Members are women, typically involved in business, professionals or self-employed; however, women, who have left the work force (temporarily or permantly), are also welcome.
Franklin members have been involved at National and International level, as President, assisting with legal issues, and Asia-Pacific Co-ordinator.
AFFILIATIONS
BPW Franklin is affiliated with the New Zealand Federation of Business & Professional Women. BPW is an advocate for women and advises or petitions decision makers, such as government and other national organisations.

To help women achieve professional and personal goals through programmes, workshops, networking and friendships.
To work for equal opportunities and status for all women in ecomonic, civil and polictical life in all countries.
To work for the removal of discrimination.
To encourage women and girls to acquire schooling, occupational training and continuing education.
To stimulate and encourage in women the realisation and acceptance of their responsibilities to the community, locally, nationally and internationally.
To promote world wide friendship, co-operation, and understanding between business and professional women.
To collect and present the views of business and professional women to Parliment, national and world organisations and agencies.
BPW Franklin have an annual budget that enables the club to;
Cover administration costs, including a monthly newsletter.
Support monthly dinner meetings, including a gift for the speaker.
Contriubute to community projects.
Support BPW NZ with an annual fee for each member.
