Staying overnight at the homestead was an unexpected treat. Magical really. I highly recommending having dinner at the homestead if you are staying overnight. Pre dinner drinks in the drawing room, then moving into the dining room for dinner. Dale and team do a fabulous job and have quite a eye for detail. I was woken by the dawn chorus at 5am. I walked out into the dark bush and enjoyed the cacophony of bird call as the sky slowly lightened with dawn. Incredible.
Step back into time. The gorgeous Homestead loomed above is as we drove through the gates, aware we were also in a nature reserve due to the predature fences all around. Dale welcomed us into a magical, grand Homestead originally built in the early 1900s. This magnificent home is set in gorgeous reserve land managed by the Forest & Bird Society. Dale cooked dinner which was a lovely home cooked meal complete with Christmas pudding! Our room was grand and comfortable. We wished we'd stayed longer to take in all the nature walks around the property. Highly recommend this amazing Homestead and the host, who makes the stay so welcoming and comfortable.
Our party arrived around 12.30pm for the Mid Winter Xmas Dinner at Bushy Park we had a look around inside this lovely Homestead woo what a lovely Building then went into the Dining room for a beautiful meal really nice food finishing with dessert including Xmas pudding and Xmas cake . What a wonderful day had by all

What amazing history and sanctuary. Had an amazing lunch and hospitality. Would be a great place to stay and have time to explore the walks more. Its like being in another world.
Love this place so much. Dale and his family of staff are amazing and it's now becoming very popular. Highly recommended you visit...and it's worth going back with your Grandkids or kids. Awesome bird sanctuary and saddle back birds among others flitting so close to you while wandering along several different historical bush walks.
Thank you to Dale and team. This was one of our best holidays ever!!! Our room, the food, the amazing service - everything was fabulous. And then there was the grounds, the walks etc etc, we could go on and on! We thoroughly everything 11/10
Cannot recommend more highly at least a one night stay in such a treasure. Dale and the team provide an outstanding experience. Comparable to any we've had overseas. Take yourself back in the time with this grand old homestead. The food is amazing. Thank goodness for all the great bush walks, available on the doorstep to walk off any indulgence. You feel you are immersed in a truly treasured part of the country. A special place to hold any event.
Loved the bush and the birds. Great easy walking tracks. The house was a lovely place to visit too.
Awesome experience with a light afternoon tea. Fresh plain and date scones with real butter, strawberry jam and Chantilly cream. Also fresh brewed coffee and tea was served. For our gluten intolerant friends almond and apple cake was offered. Bushy Park is situated in native bush, which has been made predator pest free zone to allow native bird life to proliferate. It is an idyllic oasis of calm 25 minutes from the bustle of the city.
