This is not a bus hub it's just a bunch of bus stops on one street, a bus hub is a warm covered shelter for people to catch buses safely. I've tried to tell orbus Dunedin directly that they need to have more options for when it's raining because literally every single seat gets soaked and I'm left disabled and soaked, the actual shelter does not provide any shelter from rain. Every single time I have made a complaint there's was no follow up, and there certainly wasn't any action done about it, so I basically just get dismissed even though me any thousands of other people have said the bus hub is not adequate and unsafe. I'm not even sure how to describe how atrocious these bus drivers drive aswell, they all speed, they don't stop for people 90% of the time and will drive straight past you yes even if you stick your hand out, they cut people off, run red lights and squeeze the orange, nothing about their driving is safe, and this is coming from a learner driver so I shouldn't be telling people who've probably been driving for years that I feel unsafe on their bus because of the way they are driving.
The buses here are mostly on time, only a few with long distance that would be late. The schedule is displayed at every bay and a line is formed at every bay during the rush hour. However, it is a small section of the road and it was not safe to jaywalk and to walk around the construction zone…
You don’t want to have to wait at the Bus Hub in a southerly wind! A cold hole, with seating only for a few none for our stop - I wouldn’t recommend it as a bus stop; in fact it’s about the most primitive hub I’ve seen in NZ.
The bus to Harwood came over 5 min too early. I do now have no other chance to get to where I will stay the night than to take the next bus, which goes one hour later. And because this bus will not go all the way which the other did I have to walk one hour along a road without a walkway. Horrible bus service.
The bus is constantly inconsistent, gets massive delays and buses often get stuck here for 20 minutes at a time. The transit app is just perfect to watch your bus sit there unmoving for a long time. Common trait found in all new Zealand buses - they're all pretty awful and useless.
