I hardly write reviews but was very saddened by my experience at buoy. I spoke for a while with the colorist about dyeing my hair red and we spoke about different shades. I have dark hair but the colorist felt it would show up so I decided to go for it. The hairdresser that did my hair was in a bad mood when I saw her didn't talk the whole time or even acknowledge me, rushed the process didn't even check before washing it out and my hair colour barely changed. At the end she said "I knew it wouldn't show up but didn't want to disappoint you," and then tried to point at places where she could apparently see red streaks even though it was obvious there was no colour. She was very rude and I paid full price for barely any change in my hair. I was recommended this place by friends so went in with high expectations so was really disappointed.Service: Hair coloring

Always have great experience coming here - but had a haircut with Daniel yesterday and he was incredible! He gave me so much guidance on what to do with my hair and how to style it. Probably my best hair cut to date!
First time client here and wow! Really enjoyed my cut with Wei. He was super friendly, took time to understand what I really wanted from a cut, and made sure to keep me in the loop. Shout out to the lovely front of house team for being super welcoming too.
I usually wait a few days before I decide whether I'm totally thrilled with a haircut, or resign myself to waiting for it to grow out. So this review is about my very first visit to Buoy a few weeks ago on the recommendation of a friend. So let's start from the beginning - when you call to make an appointment and even upon arrival you're greeted by the friendliest front desk attendant Eddie. Let me just say he's a darling! And if you're a first timer like me you're kind of left wondering if you've stepped into the backstage of a glamorous fashion shoot. The layout and the atmosphere is so light and vibrant and so clean! Possibly my favourite thing is that Andrew, my stylist, was perfectly punctual. The time at the basin left me feeling like I should make an appointment just to get my hair washed - they have luxurious massage chairs in addition to the soothing head massage you receive as part of the process. And then let me talk about the amazing Andrew. I explained what I wanted, he Listened!! And what I have now is a sleek but edgy long pixie cut that transformed my look from a plain bob that faded into the background to getting compliments from absolutely everyone! Thank you Andrew and Eddie! Can't wait to visit again and maybe experiment with some colour change.
I so look forward to my appointments at Buoy! Sarah is amazing - she's the absolute best hairdresser I have had. She is friendly, knowledgeable and talented. Eddie is always super friendly too. Thanks for a great experience
So I botched my own hair with box dye surprise surprise and ended up with yellow hair, buoy oh boy hehe.. I came in for a free consultation before booking a toning session in with Courtney. Courtney was amazing and super professional, I don’t know how she did it but she completely got rid of the yellow - would highly recommend!!
