Why is Yoga so good for pregnancy?

Yoga is a fantastic way to give you down time from your busy life. Invigorating and uplifting, the postures will strengthen and tone your body for the changes pregnancy and childbirth brings, while the relaxation and breathing will relieve stress and tension and encourage deep rest.

I'm new to yoga, will it be OK for me?

Our pregnancy classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and yoga experience. Classes are small, enabling the teacher to keep an eye on you, ensuring you are safe and working within your limits.

When can I start?

Classes are suitable from 16 weeks pregnant.



"BumpYoga started out of a perceived need for pregnancy specific fitness classes.BumpYoga offers classes that are specifically designed for Mums-to-be at prenatal yoga classes, and new mums in the postnatal Mums and Bubs classes. Small class sizes in a relaxed and friendly environment with an experienced and knowledgable instructor. The programs offered are a fusion of pregnancy yoga, pilates and Total Barre techniques and all fitness levels and levels of experience are welcome.Based in Cockle Bay - A great place to meet other new Mums in the community and a great way to have some downtime and to prioritise you!"

Loved Jana's class. It was a beautiful time as a first time mum to connect with my baby and to be with other mums. I loved the gentle movement and the massage techniques were super helpful in easing wind and colic. It's also nice having something to do weekly to help form a beautiful bond with your baby in the early days. Thank you Jana!
Jana’s BumpYoga classes are awesome! I love being able to have some “me” time while pregnant and still safely move my changing body. I first started attending these classes over 4 years ago, when pregnant with my first daughter. I loved the postnatal baby massage and pilates classes that Jana also offers after having my daughter, and now I am back again while pregnant with my second. I would highly recommend Jana’s classes! She is approachable, fun and informative about yoga and pilates techniques, as well as all things baby/mum related! Thanks Jana!!
I joined Bump Yoga when i was 14 weeks pregnant, i have loved all sessions with Jana. Jana's pilate classes are amazing! It is so much fun to attend her classes, very informative. Jana is so knowledgeable and shares so many tips and tricks of parenting, useful videos and recovery recommendations. She also alters the exercises for mummas who have sciatica or back issues. I really love how she is preparing me for labor and would highly recommend her to anyone.
I have been doing these classes online as I don't live in the area. It has been great for both myself and my 5 month old daughter as I can work around her naps. Jana is very knowledgeable and understanding with each client and can adapt each move if needed. I always feel amazing after each session which makes me feel like a better mum for both my daughters.
Jana is a very fun, knowledgeable, easy-going teacher. As she's also a local, she knows all the ins and outs. And can teach and help new mums in the right direction. During the classes there is time for questions and different options are given for different stages in pregnancy, age of the babies and needs of the mums. I would definitely recommend doing all of the classes!
Mum and Littles Ones is a fantastic pilates/post natal fitness class! My son and I both attended Jana's classes and we both thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. Having the freedom to allow your baby to have a grumpy day and scream through the lesson or to let your baby roam free, crawling around visiting each parent and baby was amazing! The classes are a great opportunity to meet other parents who have or are going through similar life stages with their little ones - everyone can relate to each other! Jana is also a great instructor who also understands! Jana has two of her own children, so she can relate to the aches and pains of being pregnant, but also the early days with a bubba! If you want a class that gives you the opportunity to move your body and meet other parents, this is a safe and supportive environment to do so! Book your session! Bring the coffee group!
Bump Yoga is a treasure for mums in the community. It’s a welcoming and inclusive group run by Jana. So far I have only attended the antenatal yoga class, but I look forward to starting the mums and bubs Pilates now that my little one is old enough. What I liked about the class so far is how it’s relaxed so people who are new to yoga can just go at their own pace or if you feel too fricken pregnant you don’t feel pressured to keep up. In saying that, when I was energised I felt comfortable enough to go at a stronger pace and sometimes go with my own flow since I love yoga
Attended one of the massage classes today. It was such a good experience for bubba and me. Thanks to Jana, my six week old daughter was very relaxed and had the best nap once home.
Jana's bump yoga classes are awesome. You get a decent stretch and workout but the classes aren't too strenuous. Jana is a great instructor and love going to her classes!
I joined BumpYoga when I was just about in my third trimester of pregnancy and returned when my baby was 2 months old for Baby Massage, then continued with Mums and Bubs Pilates. Jana is absolutely wonderful, her classes are fun, supportive, appropriate for mums pre and postpartum and my baby loves her. I have become stronger than I ever thought I would be 10 months after a C Section and I have Jana to thank. Highly recommend her classes to anyone I meet!
