Budgy Campers offers certified self-contained, budget campers, so you can choose where to stay and save money at the same time.

Story

Budgy aims to provide an affordable self-drive holiday for people who want to travel New Zealand on a shoe-string budget. What we do is provide a safe and reliable vehicle at low cost, so you can spend money on seeing and doing more of the exciting activities and attractions on offer.

There are no hidden costs – all the little extras and safety nets are included in your daily hire.

Budgy’s ‘One Price Package’ includes:

Self-Contained Certificate – allows you to freedom camp so you will save money on campsite fees. This gives you the chance to spend and play more on other activities during your holiday.

Vehicle Insurance – travel with peace of mind knowing you are covered incase of an incident. Budgy Cover includes: Tyres, windscreen replacement (one incident), an extra driver and road side assistance. The excess is NZ250.

Media Kit – helps you to stay safe and in-touch with your family and friends. This includes: a GPS, WIFI internet modem, phone with local SIM card, 12V USB charger or inverter, AUX cable and a Tourism Radio.

Extras – let’s not forget all the other goodies we throw in for free!
Items include: no one-way fee, unlimited kms, airport transfer(s) (between airport depot/depot airport), a fuel discount card, road map, first aid kit, camping chairs and table and more!
