The rude man whom I presumed to be the owner refused to serve me last week because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I was clearly wearing my Exemption Badge but when I pointed this out he still refused. Disgraceful behaviour from someone meant to be providing a public service. This hasn’t happened anywhere else in these two years of the Covid crisis, even at its height. In effect he refused entry to someone with an underlying condition which amounts to discrimination.
Everything a good bookshop should be. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, happy to discuss options, share recommendations, or just leave you to browse. Great children's section. Nothing is too much trouble. Update a year later - still a wonderful resource for the town of Woodbridge. All the staff are keen readers, read widely, and are full of excellent suggestions.
Excellent contemporary bookstore, with a particularly well organised layout, including categorised 'book islands'. Very fond of their non-fiction selection. Served by a pleasant and engaging lady at the counter.
Small but perfectly formed independent bookshop, always something interesting, I particularly like the big round table by the door with all sorts of latest books and suggestions. There's a decent sized children's section too, plus maps, cards, all sorts packed in.
Small but perfectly formed. This business keeps an eye on what is in vogue in the book world and has some thoughtful ideas for your next reading obsessions! Arty greetings cards are also worth a look.
Smallish book shop, so relatively limited choice but well chosen. Something for everyone, especially good selection of books for children. I bought 'Pocket Books of Britain and Europe' and 'Arnhem - The Battle for the Bridges, 1944'.
I telephoned and spoke to the manager of Browsers to inquire whether he would consider stocking my self-published children's picture book. I found him to be unnecessarily abrupt, bordering on rude. Whatever his view on self-published books, I felt his attitude was inappropriate. For this reason, I would not recommend this book shop to anyone.
Beautifully curated selection of books. Whilst not an enormous range if you want something specific there is something for everyone. Whenever I go in I find something to buy!
Nice staff and good selection of books
Mostly good selection of books, helpful and kind staff, and well planned distancing and crowd management. Lovely independent bookshop.
