Absolutely appalling experience at Briscoes Palmerston North.nnWe shopped on a 50% off day, only to discover my wife had been charged for extra pans that we never purchased. When we went back to sort it out, instead of simply checking the receipt and resolving the obvious mistake, they insisted on reviewing CCTV footage before refunding us.nnIn the end, they did refund the money, but the whole process was frustrating and made us feel like we had to prove we hadn’t done anything wrong.nnIf this happened to us, it makes you wonder how many other customers have unknowingly been overcharged and never noticed. I’d recommend everyone checks their receipts carefully after shopping here.
Looked up item online, checked whether it was stocked at local store, said it was...rang to confirm before going in and staff said no have to order there. But after purchase order placed and paid went to check, shelf -item was there on shelf. Very lax staff and basically lied to get extra revenue and marketing personal details.
Ok, stock levels were variable and some parts of the store seemed poorly organized/ messy. What we brought was good value.
Ive been here plenty of times and mostly the staff have been very helpful and friendly.
nI recently shopped online with Briscoes during one of their big sales, and the experience was excellent. My order arrived quickly, everything was perfectly packed and in great condition.nnOne item wasn’t available online, so we visited the store after the sale had ended. The staff were fantastic—they honoured the original sale price without hesitation. That kind of service is rare these days and really stood out.nnThe whole process—from online ordering to in-store support—was smooth, professional, and customer-focused. I really appreciate the way Briscoes looks after its customers. Highly recommended!
