Brightwater Playcentre is a small, friendly and relaxed parent co-operative early childhood centre in Brightwater in the Nelson/ Tasman Region offering caring, quality early childhood education for children from birth to school age.

We welcome new families and your first three visits are free. We have a large outdoor space and wide variety of well-resourced learning areas. We are open from 9.30 - 12 Tuesday and Thursday and 9:30 - 1:30pm on Wednesday during the school term.

Under 2's are free and fees are $50 per term per family for over 2's.

"Playcentre philosophy is based on child-initiated play and recognises the parents as the first and best educators of their own children. Playcentre families receive a unique early childhood experience with opportunities for whanau/families to learn together.Sessions are run by parents, either as a group/whole group supervision or a specified team team supervision with or without a Supervisor dependent on the Playcentre.Each Playcentre offers three free visits, so come along for a visit and see what we’re all about.Unique within the early childhood sector, Playcentres are cooperatively managed by parents with support from experienced Association and Federation personnel."
