Great laundry place. We walked in at around 12pm on a Monday - handed over a full load of washing from 2 weeks worth of traveling and within a couple of hours it was washed, dried and nicely folded and it came to $14.50. It was a big load too. Prices on par with the do it yourself laundrette on the next street.
So impressed when we got our washing back. Beautifully washed, dried and folded neatly. Will definitely be going back
Worst service ever had. Extremely rude! I was picking up dried laundry in behalf of someone and asked whether it was already paid for. I was told ‘NO’ and I asked how much it was. I was told $7.50. I casually clarified the price since the last and only other time I was there, I was only charged $6. I was thinking maybe, the extra $1.50 was because I came 10 minutes late? Or additional service was requested? I didn’t know. I asked since I had to relay the message. That was when the Chinese? lady attendant blew her top. She started shouting, saying there was a big dryer and a small dryer and big dryer is $7.50 for 40minutes, and I just have to look up and high up on the wall is there per minute pricing. I told her I didn’t know that so I was just asking. She was rudely blurting out that she doesn’t have to explain to every customer the prices. She even came close up to my face while shouting all these. I turned to the male attendant as to why the lady was so offended and grumpy and shouting. He kept quiet. Then, another customer, who was also there the whole time and heard everything, had to intervene and had to explain to the lady attendant that I was only asking a general question. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or whether she was working on a Sunday or it was a language barrier that she thought it was a challenge. But one thing for sure is she doesn’t have any respect for a customer and doesn’t deserve any business, especially when there was no harm intended and only a bloody enquiry on the price!
This used to be my favorite laundry service until November 2018, when new people took over. Since then, I have had three unsatisfactory experiences: Twice, five shirts only came back after a week, and the third time I got a shirt back that wasn't mine. Considering that they also speak virtually no English, I am taking my business elsewhere from now on.
I live in Glenfield and travel all the way to Birkenhead when I need some laundry done because no one else comes close in both price and service. Owner run, I mean 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year owner run, and the couple are very friendly and a pleasure to be around. Highly recommended, I wouldn't got anywhere else.
Always had great experiences!. They fold and stack clothes immaculately, very friendly and use their initiative to make sure the job is well done. Cheap too!
Excellent service. I don’t use laundromats frequently, but when I do need one for urgent laundry, I always choose Brightstar.
My parents have used this laundry service for years, and travel from Takapuna. Friendly, cheap and service is exceptional.
