The Brewers Apprentice is a Monteith's Craft Beer bar located in a stunning early 1900's villa, with a spacious garden bar for those sunny days.

Story

The Brewers Apprentice is a proud member of the passionate family of Monteith’s Craft Beer Bars in New Zealand. We strive to excel in what we do, and provide GREAT FOOD and FRESH BEER to the people of Palmerston North.




We are passionate about the hospitality industry and strongly believe this is what helps us stand out in the crowd. The Brewers Apprentice is designed to be a place where people can come and relax, socialise and be themselves.

The worse “Fried chicken” with “buffalo” sauce, first of all it wasn’t even fried, it was grilled oily and greasy. Secondly, it wasn’t the buffalo sauce, it was tomato based spicy sauce but doesn’t have any flavor, it was just hot on the mouth but couldn’t taste anything more than the pain on the tongue. Absolutely disappointed :
We had our work drinks here. Great spaces inside n out. Good food and excellent platters. The garlic cheesy bread and balsamic drizzle was tops. Only pic I took was the dessert platter. Amazing!!!
Good selection of beers. Pricey. Nice layout inside and out. Pub menu has one or two vegetarian options. Good proximity to town.

Wednesday steak night average as! The chewiest steak I've ever had in my life. Taste and presentation was nice but eating it was difficult. Lovely waitress tho offered our drinks for free witch made up for it alot. Will be back but not sure for steak night.
Came for a date night the food was very lovely the garlic bread for a starter was very nice. The staff were very friendly and nice differently coming back
Fantastic/fabulous as always ,good music ,good food excellent service and selection of drinks that they brew on site ...I'll be back !!
Booked a month in advance to get a seat and drove an hour to get here just to be told they didn't have room for us unless we sat at a makeshift table in an isleway. Appreciate the attempt but its not the romantic dinner we were after. No thanks.
