Beautiful place with great rooms and lovely, helpful staff. Spent two nights here and were very comfortable. Only complaint was that they no longer offer breakfast, despite still calling themselves a Bed and Breakfast, which was disappointing as we decided to stay on the basis they were a B&B. We booked in person and were shown around, including a dining room we assumed was used for breakfast but were told later that they no longer do breakfast and instead refer people to a cafe around the corner for breakfast. Other than this though the place is gorgeous and very comfortable.
Absolutely amazing, I will happily recommend to everyone, if you want a room or a bunk the prices are amazing the owners are so lovely, close to town, take a nice slow walk. Fabulous place to be happily will go back again.
Stayed from 11 - 18 August 2024. The facilities and staff was absolutely awesome. Location is great and central with all you require under 1 roof. Will I .ake uself of them again...... with out a shadow of a dought. Thank you guns and GOD BLESS!!!!
I had a wonderful stay at this establishment! The room wasn’t hot which is good during summer, the facilities are clean and overall it was a good atmosphere! It is near a lot of tourist spots which made things very helpful. However the light of my stay there was the friendly rooster who always ran up to me!
Well what can I say, what a truly wonderful welcome especially after a day of road closures & and ferry problems down south!nnAlthough pre booked I arrived here as a stranger and immediately felt like I was known, a guided tour of my room and facilities which were plentiful. Room clean and comfortable which was to the rear of the main building. There's plenty of road parking and it's a 25 minute walk into town.nnThe house itself had a wonderful nostalgic feel and a true slice of NZ culture, my third visit to the country but my first to North Island, I can recommend this place to anyone new wanting a fantastic warm welcome.nWell done guys.
