Absolutely top class. Our choir stayed here in the YHA section. Perfect for our group of 20. The hospitality was above and beyond. Useful facilities and a lovely close setting to the activities in town.
Stayed one night in a deluxe room. Extraordinarily pleasant and charming experience. Super clean without detracting from cosy relaxed atmosphere. Loved the layout of bathroom, shower rooms, two separate loos straight across the hall from deluxe bedrooms, the French door opening to verandah, light, fresh air, privacy, every facility. Was a near frost but no overheating in the bedroom. Early morning could make our own coffee in kitchen annex and sit in sunny dining room. River for a stroll along is just over the road. Our dog slept in the car parked close by. Braemar House is one of the nicest places I've stayed in over years of travelling in NZ and Europe.
We had the most amazing stay at Braemar House. After our 5 day canoe trip, we were welcomed with great service, a clean and cozy room, and warm shower. The fluffy white robes were a nice touch as well. Would highly recommend.
Stayed in the b & b part for the night. Shared facilities were very clean, same for the room. Just down the road from town so ideal spot. Taken back in time with this place if we had more time we would have explored more in this town. Easy check in and lovely host. Will certainly be back.
Beautiful place with great rooms and lovely, helpful staff. Spent two nights here and were very comfortable. Only complaint was that they no longer offer breakfast, despite still calling themselves a Bed and Breakfast, which was disappointing as we decided to stay on the basis they were a B&B. We booked in person and were shown around, including a dining room we assumed was used for breakfast but were told later that they no longer do breakfast and instead refer people to a cafe around the corner for breakfast. Other than this though the place is gorgeous and very comfortable.
