The older white fella that works there makes absolutely beautiful coffees, gorgeous flavour and fast service, but i wish i could say the same for the young asian guy. Coffee was burnt, i asked for it extra hot which i did not receive, coffee was luke warm. It took him about 10 minutes to make a simple moccachino, he is rude and my cup was covered in coffee. Very disappointed as i am a regular customer there, mainly just hoping the older man is there to make beautiful coffee
I had a disappointing experience at BP Hokitika that felt like a bait-and-switch. While NPD fuel next door had significantly cheaper prices, we stopped at BP because my dad wanted coffee.nnI noticed BP advertised a 15c/liter discount with an Everyday Rewards card, which would have made their price competitive with NPD. My card scanned successfully at the pump, and I paid with my credit card before filling up. However, during fueling, I realized the displayed rate didn't reflect the promised discount. My receipt confirmed no discount was applied.nnWhen I spoke to the attendant, she apologised but said she couldn't help. Instead of addressing the issue, she began criticizing competing stations. When I pressed her about whether this was misleading, she told me to call BP head office for a refund, claiming the they would be give me my money back - which feels like they're passing the buck rather than honoring their advertised promotion.nnThis experience left me questioning whether the discount offer is genuine or just a way to draw customers away from cheaper competitors. I'd recommend double-checking that any advertised discounts actually apply before filling up, or simply go to NPD next door where the pricing is transparent and competitive from the start.
Coffee and hot chocolate are absolutely terrible. Don’t even think of trying them. Do not recommend.
Ok it's a Petrol Station who gives a review of a petrol station. Me obviously, This is actually a cumulative review of several visits as I have passed through. Each time I have purchased a pie and a coffee.nThe pie selection is huge and I have not been disappointed yet.nEach time selecting a different pie and coffee type. It is hard to get good consistency, too hot, too cold, too dry being in the pie warmer too long or a pie crust bottom that is too soggy, no body wants a soggy bottom. Each time the pie has been bloody excellent. Yes I know it is not a fancy patisserie, but driving up the East Coast with the surf rolling in from the sea eating my pie and leisurely drinking my coffee, I feel like a god.nToday Chicken and Apricot, My favourite is Venison.
Sad to see one of the newer staff members belittling other staff right in front of customers. Same staff member always looking grumpy and acts as if it's a bother to serve you. Witnessed a few times now, she has made blatantly rude comments to another member of staff who is always working hard. Not very nice to see, seems like a hostile work environment now, shame since we used to always see smiling faces. Hope the workers know they shouldn't need to put up with that.
