Bouldevines vineyard on Dog Point Road dates from the 1970s, when Philip & Janey Walsh started contract growing grapes on the farm that had been in their family since the 1930s. Following Philip’s debilitating accident in 2004, they released their own wines under the Bouldevines label as a way to secure their future on the land. They named it for the two main characteristics of their vineyard – boulders and vines! Growing in boulder-studded soil, these quality wines turn adversity to advantage. Much like Philip and Janey themselves.
