Tried The Borough the other night for the first time. Super spacious and the tables become packed as soon as we were half way through our meals which is a good sign! We started off with a couple of cocktails and frozen margaritas which was both delicious. For mains we got the pork belly as well as the fish of the day and halloumi fries. The pork belly and fish chip was cooked perfectly - both had delicious flavours too! There wasn’t anything special with the halloumi fries but it still went well with the mains.
Another enjoyable evening at the borough. We got the Sirloin, fish n chips, fried chicken. Espresso martini and espresso milkshake. The fish n chips were average..small piece of fish and dry cold chips. However I was impressed with a particular staff member. One of the waitresses dropped a glass and another waitress came straight over and the first thing she said is "are you ok?"then continued to help her colleague. The review jumped from 3 to 4 stars.
Nice place this out in the burbs. Went for dinner at 6pm and the service was great. Food was relatively quick, and we got in before a big table ordered. I got the Creamy Fettuccine with Chicken the chicken is not a default. I gotta say it’s was pretty decent!! Creamy not runny and delicious. Portion size was a good sized meal. My friend ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with mash and really enjoyed it!! We got a couple of chicken wings Wed $1 wings and they were good with buffalo sauce. Overall gotta rate this place for location, cost, service and food!

Really open atmosphere, it was nice sitting out in the breeze. My family and I were leaving back for Hamilton and stopped by for some coffees and we were taken care of by Jenny who made amazing latte art and awesome tasting coffee! Thank you will be stopping by whenever were in Wellington again .Food: 5/5
Great bar/restaurant to enjoy drinks and food. Great staff with a awesome environment. TV screens for watching sports. Worth going to relax with friends
Went there for Burger Wellington. I enjoyed the beef burger, but it wasn't a 'wow' for me. However the kumara fries that came with it were crispy and very yum. The manager was very friendly and chatty with us which made a great impression. The manager also gave our table of 4 a free garlic pizza bread as a starter, which was such a lovely treat. Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options and their menu is fairly flexible. Our young mum, sister and I last minute early tea time.... Enjoyed delicious and very tasty food alongside great service. Sister and I had a glass of wine each with our meal... I did not get the glass of wine I had ordered I was offered a replacement immediately. Chose to keep to what was served. Young mum, sitting opposite from sis and I chose to have a glass of water! Our eyes were bigger than our bellies obviously...sister and I 2 large pizzas both very tastingly yummy , 2 large garlic flat breadsvery good, big bowl of crinkle hot oozingly delicious and crunchie chips, Bowl of barbecued pork belly bites, devine Bowl of barbecued spicy boneless chicken bitesagain devine We ended up taking almost 3/4 of meal home via takeaway boxes! We had already had a few snacks before deciding last minute to see you... dear Borough We all enjoyed our meals and the service. Price was fairly reasonable. You get two stars for the ambience, decor etc. I ordered eggs bene with mushrooms. Waited 40 minutes while watching all the people around me who arrived after me get food before me. After the order came out wrong, I waited another 15 minutes for the food to come back out while just one person at my table of 3 ate alone. The mushrooms were cold, the bed of "spinach" was actually a bed of cold uncooked spinach stems. No salt and pepper anywhere in sight. Quite possibly the worst meal I've had in Wellington, despite the average to okay service. I won't be voting with my dollar here again.
