A nice Cafe that's larger than you'd think looking at it from the street! I had a great coffee that was made super fast and a cream horn which was a first for me. Very tasty. Definitely going back.
The fried chicken I ordered was tiny and over cooked, dry and had a burnt taste. The coslaw was tiny and was just some cabbage and carrot. Only thing that was okay was the chips. 21$ for this was ridiculous and over priced for the tiny amount and the poor quality.
Not the most welcoming staff I’ve come across but the food was okay. They seem quite busy with a local dance competition nearby, in that there seemed to be one local and 3 tables of visitors, so maybe they’re just a little tired of smiling at people they don’t know. I felt I was a nuisance rather than a customer buying some lunch.
Today's dine in experience was quite disappointing I'm sad to say. Half of the ingredients were missing in which we were not informed before our plate came out and thrown on there were some extra chicken nuggets we didn't want. No effort made to see that we paying customers were satisfied, no mention of food missing and didn't like the way the chef spoke to a staff member whilst ordering our food either. We did get our money back, so thanks for that. The coffee was great however and will only come back for coffees next time.
The menu was limited. I asked for gravy with the chips as indicated by the menu but not available. The soup advertised was not available. The chocolate milk shake did not have much chocolate flavor and chances are no ice cream in it so very dilute. The lass behind the counter did not have much spring in her step. I guess putting up with difficult people like me did not help. Chips were spot on.
Service on 14th November appalling. The manner in which the red headed staff member informed everyone "you can only order off the menu" I must have heard that 5 times. Then they missed Part of the order then asked us if we still wanted it, well yes we had paid for it. The poor lad behind the counter was berated by both the staff. All together a poor experience. I would not go back.
Fantastic cafe great pies and breakfast selection. Omelettes are.made the traditional skillett method. Great sandwiches to grab for your road trip as well. Everything looked fresh and made from scratch. Highly recommend this cafe.
Stopped in for lunch and was surprised at how many vegan options were available. Everything was so tasty, including the soy flat whites. Knocked it out of the park with the burger especially! We plan on coming back when we visit next : My partner would like to add that if you're looking for a Japanese vibe, this isn't it. We loved it as it was though since it had the feel of an old pub that was taken over as a cafe. It definitely has it's own character and charm about it. Absolutely beautiful staff and everyone was helpful!
We have been here a few times for lunch. Up until now its been good. But after this visit we will not go back. The woman at the counter had no people skills, cold with no sense of humor. My husband ordered fish n Chips and I ordered works wedges. We have had these meals before. When they came, the fish n Chips were cold, and the wedges was such a small serving I could of eaten another plant full. Other times I have had wedges I could only eat half of it and my husband had the rest.
Pretty disappointed not cheap and not good. Had to wait for ages for some basic breakfast food there were only a few customers. Bacon and eggs specified no egg snot and a couple of hash browns, eggs were snotty so they went back, didn't notice the state of the bacon otherwise I would have asked them to cook it, as it was cold and fatty I don't think they had even cooked it straight from the fridge to my plate, three slice's of bacon and by the time I picked through to get the meat i had the equivalent of one whole piece of bacon left over but it was cold wet bacon fat eugh, and hash browns were only a mouthful. Requested a half of pancakes for our 6 year old but they wouldn't do a reduced portion so daughter only ate one of three, but they were pretty doughy not light and fluffy the rest went to the pigs, her bacon was as above. Wife had eggs holindase with bacon and ditto here again for the bacon, hey at least they were consistent. Wouldn't go back
