Absolutely loved our dinner at Bombay Palace in Wanaka! Bring your appetite because the portion sizes are generous and perfect for sharing or not!. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavour and beautifully cooked, super delicious from start to finish. What really made the experience special was the owner was so kind, warm, and welcoming. You can really tell they care about their food and their guests. Highly recommend if you’re craving amazing Indian food in Wanaka!
We were looking for a good lunch spot with a great view over Lake Wanaka. Bombay Palace surely offered a great view on the second floor overlooking the lake.nnThey have a big menu full of Indian food. The food itself was ok, not overwhelmingly good. The portions were also rather small, for the price.
The butter chicken curry was very underwhelming. It didn’t taste like any butter chicken I’ve had before. Instead of a rich, buttery tomato flavor, it seemed heavy on curry powder or some other spice. I wouldn’t spend money on it again. The garlic naan was a decent size but lacked both flavour and garlic. Overall, I was quite disappointed and will be going back to Spice Room in the future.

Fantastic Indian food in a fantastic location.nFamily dinner for 7. Kids had the Butter Chicken kids meal which they loved includes curry, rice & naan. Fried Chicken, Tandor Lamb cutlets, Chicken Tikka and a Chicken Tikka Masala curry. Also shared Puri starter.nFood was amazing and we would highly recommend the entire experience. Big portions we bought a full meal home with us.
