Story

Lisa McGregor is an artist at heart, a lover of fabric and an up-cycler of all sorts of furniture. Her roots are in traditional Upholstery but, her flare is in teaching people her craft and her love of her artistry.

This Upholstress has her fingers in a few pies, following her passion of teaching people to recycle their pre-loved furniture is why Boho Velvet Upholstery was born.

Lisa loves Furniture and fabric and never has a better marriage existed. Lisa is a long time upholsterer and now teaches her craft through her own upholstery classes, and collaboratively with Waimea College evening classes, and the beginners upholstery class for Voodoo Molly Vintage.

She has a keen eye to finding some treasures from the trash heap and turning them into masterpieces. Lucky for you all, this is also where you can purchase some of her beautifully up-cycled pieces.

Her expertise has encouraged many people to transform pieces of furniture. They keep coming back to her classes to discover more skills and up-cycle their own finds from the trash heap.
