I can’t say enough about BodyBasics! Chris and his staff are top notch. I am constantly amazed at the professionalism, knowledge and creativity that goes into each session to help me feel my best . I love to be super active but I have scoliosis so my curved back does not function like most backs . I walk away from each session feeling strong, balanced and pain free. What I learn from each session helps me in all my activities throughout the day !
This is a wonderful place for the older adult to get an assessment of their abilities and needs in physical health. Chris and Jake were more wonderful to work with and I learned so much with regard to my abilities. I made tremendous progress in upping my fitness level working out here. I highly recommend for the older adult.
This is a great place with passionate trainers helping clients get into good physical condition without getting hurt. The start-up period may be a little slow for somebody who has been working with good trainers elsewhere, but this is still good as you may not have been well-trained or trained at all. If you are going to workout, it's important to do it correctly so you don't get hurt as this is antithetical to why you are working out!
I have been a Body Basics client for over ten years. The trainers have been consistently professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate the way the workouts are designed for my current specific weaknesses or issues.
As a person with a history of serious orthopedic injury, it was of the utmost importance that I find a trainer with a thorough understanding of body mechanics. The trainers at Body Basics are highly skilled. Further, they care deeply about their clients and are invested in their progress. When Body Basics had to close its physical doors, due to the pandemic, Chris transitioned to a virtual training platform that works so well, it is easy to forget what an enormous challenge he faced. I have been doing virtual group classes recently with Kristian and Xavier. They watch their trainees closely, offering individual advice on form and modification, and each brings his own brand of fun to the sessions. Thanks to the stellar instruction I have received at Body Basics, I have achieved greater strength and structural stability than I thought was possible.
I've been a client at Body Basics for several years. The trainers design workouts that are fun and challenging. The focus is to keep their clients fit, functional and motivated. They do a great job! They work with every fitness level and make sure that each client is given what they need. No matter the fitness level they are able to help. They do a spectacular job at educating their clients so that fitness can be a goal for the long haul. I highly recommend it!
Body Basics provides the best personal training I've ever had - and I've tried a number of trainers. Chris Litten, the owner, has established an atmosphere that is professional, comfortable, and fun. He knows all of the clients by name and what they're working toward. All of the trainers at Body Basics are excellent - their knowledge about training and the human body is exceptional. Individual workouts are customized to meet your goals. I also like the small group training. Once I strained a muscle and called Chris to say I couldn't come to group. He encouraged me to come anyway and they would substitute some of the exercises just for me so I wouldn't get hurt and I didn't have to miss my exercise. This worked out very well. Through training at Body Basics I am stronger, more flexible, and my balance has improved. Highly recommended.
I have been going to BodyBasics for a couple years now. They really helped me figure out some knee and ankle issues and how to move better. 2 years ago, I was in pain standing in line at the grocery store for 2 minutes. This spring and summer, I have been standing in lines or waiting at stores for essentials for 30 minutes or an hour completely pain free due to all the progress I have made with BodyBasics. When everything was shut down due to the pandemic, BodyBasics had virtual personal training and group classes up and running within a week or two! The workouts have been fun, interesting, and creatively take into account what equipment people attending have or do not have. All of the personal trainers are great about letting me know if I need to turn to the side, get my dog to move, or reposition my camera so they can provide me with better feedback. We recently used exercise balls as a leg press and for a fun and low impact version of jumping jacks! As everything started reopening, I have continued with virtual classes because they are so effective. They are fun, keep me active, provide great feedback and coaching on form, and help keep me healthy and happy!
