Fish is very good, perfectly battered and fried. The chips weren’t as good, but still worth eating. Cool atmosphere as it is a fish market right on the water. Pricing is really reasonable. Took about 15 minutes for our fish n chips, so a bit longer of a wait. Overall, a great spot in Tauranga waterfront.
Extremely popular place. Great food, great vibe and you pay for the freshest food possible. Easily visit there the next time I'm in Tauranga. Highly recommended.
The only place to get fish n chips anywhere in NZ. I was weekend regular from Te Aroha from about 2005-6 until moving to Australia in dec 2008. Last three times ive been back its straight off the plane and off to Bobbys. I quite happily drop a few hundy here easy! Hands down the best in the world!

Best fish and chips around. Fish was amazing and the chips were the best we'd had in literally years with a crisp outer shell and soft dry fluffy interior. Noisy interior but you'd expect that when they're busy.
Great fish store on the waterfront. Place gets pretty busy around the evening so I’d recommend coming a little before 5:30. Excellent quality fish and very friendly service.
Very friendly staff, battered snapper fish and kebab were so delicious! Our kids loved the dining experience. Will definitely come back and recommend Bobby's Fresh Fish Market.
