We used Blue Moon for a mountain bike shuttle for the Wakamarina. Picked us up from Butchers Flat where we were staying and took us as far as we could go up Kiwi Road. Easy to sort the arrangements and definitely has lots of handy local knowledge for those who are not from here and want to do some riding. Recommended
VERY basic room. No toilet or water. Only one light & it's not near the bed. Only one electrical outlet for entire room hence no lamp near bed. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Just be aware that it is VERY basic and the toilet is in next building.
We were lucky to get the family room upstairs and it was a perfect stay, we loved the view and the big terrasse. Would stay here again. Thanks for hosting us! :
Beware of the wattage/amps the outlets here put out. It ruined my international charger that I’ve literally never had a single problem with before. It was charging incredibly slow so I examined it closer, it smelled liked smoke and when I touched my charger it actually burnt me. Something is off with the electricity here. So don’t risk ruining and having to replace your devices like I have. The owner is absent and leaves the hostel to be run by volunteers. One was friendly but both of them smoke cigarettes right next to the kitchen so if you don’t want to smell smoke when relaxing or cooking, I advise you stay elsewhere. This is all very unfortunate because the facilities are quite nice. Nice kitchen, clean bathrooms, my bed was comfortable but all the mattresses were a bit different. I definitely felt some that were not comfortable. Lots of bugs as well since they leave the doors and windows open all day and night. Decent place but not quite worth the high price tag in my opinion, especially since replace my expensive international charger as well.
The location is central.nThe room was damp and moldy and smelled. The kitchen was dirty, and had old food in the fridge some dated more than three months ago.. There was one shower and two toilets for the entire complex.nThe owners were not there and clearly did not care much for the experience they provided
