Blueberry Country, open for Pick Your Own Blueberries on Jary Road and also near Ngatea. We are open EVERY DAY during summer except Christmas day, 8am-6pm.

Story

Blueberry Country is one of New Zealands largest Blueberry Orchards. It is open to the Public for ready picked and pick your own Blueberries during the summer. On Jary Road South of Hamilton and on Central Road South, near Ngatea. See our website for more details about season dates and prices. The season generally runs from early December to late February.

My second time there and enjoyed it. Kids would have some fun time. You can pick your own and pay per kg. There is a cafe nearby as well. On sunny days watch out for sunburn as distraction caused us forget apply enough sunscreen. Loved the berries :
Our favourite place for blueberry picking every year. The ice cream is still full of fruits, just the queue is quite long.
Loved the experience. The blueberries were a mix of tart ones and sweet ones. I thought the prices were reasonable. You can pay with eftpos. That was a relief. The ice cream was okay. For your sake, take a hat, water and use sunscreen. Don't make the mistake i made. I almost passed out from dehydration when I got home.
Love this place a lot! The price was reasonable and you get to pick your own blueberry and brig them home. We tried the blueberry ice cream and chicken sandwich there. Both are great especially the ice cream!
A perfect place to pick your own blueberry. There are heaps of large berries waiting to be picked. There is also a cafe where you can get some foods, blueberry juice and ice cream.
Probably spent more time waiting in the queue. They merged all queues into one this year, creating a crowd in a stuffy room. Not sure what they are thinking. Why do you even bother checking vaccine passes?

Love visiting Blueberry Country and picking blueberries - it feels like you're in a different place. After picking blueberries we cooled off with a real fruit ice-cream We'll be back again next year.
