Not sure why it’s a 4.5 rating in google. It’s definitely a 5 for me. It’s that home made feeling and didn’t feel I was in a restaurant. The vibe and small batch food prep. People their kindness. It’s a 5 star not so complicated food simple and Tasty. Sausage roll was good. Why I know my son rarely is it’s so good and he enjoyed it a lot. Curry chicken was a good option too

Had a fair amount of pies in NZ but this was the fairest of them all!! The hangi pie was honestly sooo good with big chunks of yummy pork belly, sweet kumara and buttery pastry. Was in the middle of a fight but couldn’t help but to take a bite while it was fresh and hot nKoko samoa cupcake was so delish as well! Satisfied my choco cravings, no wonder it’s award-winning! Bad photo of the cupcake cause it got squished in the box but dont sleep on it!!

SCORE: 78/100nnFood and coffee always delivers at blue rose Cafe. I've been here a few times and each time it has always been great. Their menu or their great pies... pick one and you won't go wrong. I wish they would move locations and upgrade to a better business building because their current one is a little run down. Great option if you are in the area.

Me and my partner went here because we had been wanting to try it since they went viral on tiktok.nnThe vibe was soooo good. Their music is the type of music we listen to at home. The service was top notch. Friendly and very helpful. As soon as we walked we were asked if we wanted to dine in and we didn't plan to but we decided to stay and eat.nnWe got the:nnBoil Up pie:n10/10 can't fault it. Honestly felt like home and also to my surprise the pastry was still crispy. Not soggy at as this was my fear. The meat was tender and the watercress was so soft and easy to chew.nnPalusami:n8/10. Pastry was amazing & meat was tender but there wasn't enough coconut cream and taro leaves to my liking. Still a really good pie.nnHangi:n9/10. Sooooo good. Tasted like it was cooked in the ground even though I don't think it was but it was so good. Vege's had a good texture soft but not mushy & the meat? so yummy and the pie was seasoned so well.nnHot chips & Aioli:nPERFECT crunchy on the outside soft and pillowy in the middle. The house made aioli? amazing. Perfect sauce for their perfect chips.nnKoko Samoa Cupcake:n10/10. Perfect size for me. Super moist & chocolaty. The icing was the perfect sweetness nnOverall good visit and we were super happy when we left. Also the pie's are HUGE you can maybe do a whole one? Awesome place to just chill and enjoy the food. I went there with my family from Aussie. Kids had Nutella on toast, older kids had Eggs Benedict, us adults had a selection of the pies that were available, hangi & curry chicken and other dishes. Unfortunately they didn't have any palusami or paua pies available at the time The food portions were big! So worth your money!nnAmazing place!
