Me and my partner went here because we had been wanting to try it since they went viral on tiktok.nnThe vibe was soooo good. Their music is the type of music we listen to at home. The service was top notch. Friendly and very helpful. As soon as we walked we were asked if we wanted to dine in and we didn't plan to but we decided to stay and eat.nnWe got the:nnBoil Up pie:n10/10 can't fault it. Honestly felt like home and also to my surprise the pastry was still crispy. Not soggy at as this was my fear. The meat was tender and the watercress was so soft and easy to chew.nnPalusami:n8/10. Pastry was amazing & meat was tender but there wasn't enough coconut cream and taro leaves to my liking. Still a really good pie.nnHangi:n9/10. Sooooo good. Tasted like it was cooked in the ground even though I don't think it was but it was so good. Vege's had a good texture soft but not mushy & the meat? so yummy and the pie was seasoned so well.nnHot chips & Aioli:nPERFECT crunchy on the outside soft and pillowy in the middle. The house made aioli? amazing. Perfect sauce for their perfect chips.nnKoko Samoa Cupcake:n10/10. Perfect size for me. Super moist & chocolaty. The icing was the perfect sweetness nnOverall good visit and we were super happy when we left. Also the pie's are HUGE you can maybe do a whole one? I pop in here when I can for my favorite cupcakes koko samoa cupcakes and palusami pie. Today I took my mum and sister for a special mothers day treat, we dined in, they loved it. Coffee was great, snickers smoothie, pancakes and big breakfast was delicious. My mums favorite is the hangi pie . Great atmosphere, lovely customer service. Thank you all so much .

2024: A local fan fair, I tell you what, these pies are massive. One will set you up for the day.nTried the Corned Beef and Hangi Pie, the latter being my fav, but that was because the BK Brisket Pie was absent.

I always bring visitors here for their specialty food. This time, they didn't have the choice of pies we wanted, and the sausage roll was a little bit dry. Waitress was lovely, and the cashier was a little bit unfriendly. The coffee was very good.

A gorgeous cafe serving a mix of European and island cuisine.nnBusy operation with patrons streaming out the doors either waiting on a table or take away food.nnWe ordered their famous generously portioned homemade pies - fish, bolognese, beef and hāngi pie to eat in complemented by The Island plate- raw fish, 3 pieces of taro, 1 piece of pork and a palusami.nnThere were 4 of us brunching so I added a separate palusami/taro combo to keep us happy. Well me, because taro is my favourite food.nnFor dessert we had a couple of koko cupcakes and a ginger slice, 2 coffees and a soda.nnWe took away a palusami pie fresh out of the oven- because my sister wanted to try it nnMy family visiting from Utah, and nephew visiting from Sydney were full and happy.nnGenuinely flavoursome food, excellent atmosphere and great staff who were run off their feet!
