The food was so good that we visited two days in a row to try more of the menu. The Hainanese chicken dumplings and Thai pork sausage were 11/10 dishes - we live 60km away but I would drive all the way to Pukekohe for these dishes alone.
I really like this place and would be a great place to take groups of people. Good value for meals. Cocktails, are very strong so definitely something that will give you a good time.
Had an awesome time at Blue Ox Babe last night. The menu had so much variety, the food was divine, and the cocktails were delicious. The service was great, everyone was really friendly and onto it. We had a good chat with Mark, who went out of his way to get us a dessert that was sold out which blew us away! The candyfloss sushi was so cool. That little extra effort made our night. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!
Warm/welcoming greeting on arrival staff were all amazing always checking in if we needed anything. We went in on a Tuesday night so knew that we would have a better experience. Service with a smile. Food was exactly what I expected a mixture of smoky sweet flavours and side dishes were a great match. Ambience definitely has a Hawaii/forestry vibe which we liked casual but bourgeois casual lol we will be back to try the Asian fusion.
