Having the opportunity to confirm a recommendation from a close relative is always an experience and a joy for the taste buds and mind. As soon as we approached the entrance the aroma was incredible with a need to explore more. Entering the establishment, with the welcoming hello was a real positive start that carried on for the entire night. A hands on guide through the numours opportunities on a enticing mouth watering menu selection was definitely a eye opener. Once our choices were made finally Sorry was given the opportunity to see the smoker from the counter which again exceeded my expectations and furthered the experience. All our platters, burgers and dishes were a work of art, and totally new to our taste buds. The experience was incredible. All the staff had a real customer service focus and the venue was incredible with a relaxing enjoyable vibe. Thank you for this opportunity and experience. Can't wait for our next visit..
Overall food was great, brisket was cooked well and moist. I really enjoyed the Asian fusion more though. The salad we got was delicious and well balanced.nnThe GF sausage was not it and wouldn’t recommend.nnStaff attentive and friendly. The place has a good vibe and great ambience.
Came in early on a Saturday Evening. 445pm. Service was great and staff were doing their job well. It was such a shame that the BBQ Sharing platter for 4 that we ordered was immensely disappointing. Please see the photos attached. Brisket was dry and pebbly, and a huge chunk of all of the slices was connective tissue that was chewy and fatty. The macaroni and cheese was grainy in texture and a bit bland. The sausage was really chewy and pebbly, reminded me of a dry roast chicken stuffing. Pork belly was alright. Ribs were alright.nnNo hot sauces or bbq sauces given, which could have helped. The platter was generally super dry. In the end we paid 180 for that platter. Tremendously disappointing.nnSuper disappointing considering we were almost the first customers of the dinner service. I hope we were just unlucky.
The food, atmosphere and service is the best. Mark owner makes sure he gets to know the guests and remembers you on return visits. The chefs produce the best duck fried rice, thai chicken wings , massamum curry and yum yum balls - not to mention amazing slushy cocktails. The best place in Puke to eat Asian fusion by far in a really cool space - totally recommend.
We went for our anniversary tonight and didn't know what we were getting ourselves into but Caitlin made it so much easier as she walked us through the full menu and this helped us to make our choices.nnWe ordered a lot more than we could eat so got to take a lot home.nnFrom the 12 items we ordered from the menu the short ribs were partly dry and burnt, the duck fried rice tasted like plain rice and the Mac n cheese was average.nnWe would recommend getting the Papaya salad to help break the heaviness of the meat.nnFrom the bbq menu we recommend the pork ribs, brisket and the pork belly.nnFrom the Asian fusion we recommend the Papaya salad, kimchi loaded fries with brisket and the Massaman curry although this would be a dish best shared as it can become overpowering if eaten as a only dish.nnWe got the Candy floss ice cream sushi, this would be best shared as a group as it is very sweet, could be great for a family to have dessert and keep the price down.nnWe have been to many bbq food places in and around Auckland and will say this is the best so far.nWould we come back??.....
