A kinda institution around here, a fish and chips shop that has been around forever. It's been a while since the original owners and their glory days but still represents reasonable value for money.

Absolute beauty!! 14$mini pack! Can't beat it! Classic kiwi fish n chips, came with an extra potato fitter and they even add a lemon! It's the small things that really make it count. Without a doubt .. grab ya fish in chips from Bule island seafoods
Order: Fish & Chips, hot dog and two potato fritters Mini PacknCost $19.60nnThe battered fish was a good size with a nice golden hue and good crunch to it. It fell flat where the inside of the batter had not cooked through and had that undercooked gluggy texture. The fillet itself was okay with clean flesh, meaty and flaked in chunks. There was an odd aftertaste I couldn’t pick, didn’t ruin it just something of note.nnThe chips were okay, not great but not terrible. Probably could have done with a couple more minutes in the fryer as they were soft on the bite. Inside was light and fluffy.nnThe hotdog and fritters were standard and nothing to write home about.nnOverall, it was an okay effort from Blue Island Seafoods and the cost and portions was really good.
Too notch service and fish and chips for reasonable price. Always consistent. My go to for Lower Hutt
