Unfortunately we came 30 minutes before closing so kitchen was closed. We were happy to select from what was left in the glass cabinet. Ordered a few pies creamy chicken and steak & cheese and a wrap. The pies were good but felt like they were microwaved and the wrap was super cold. Tasted ok though. Next time I would take up their offer to toast it however was really hanging for fresh veggies. Chutney was yummy. Of course the kids would have preferred standard tomato sauce/ketchup. Very spacious cafe with wifi which was handy for travellers.
Definitely a favorite place to call in for a coffee and bite to eat. This time was a special occasion, travelling North for a family occasion and I called in here for a break in the trip. Went for the bacon and egg pie, which was served with either relish or tomato sauce, and a lovely fresh garnish. All was delicious and over too soon.nThe coffee was hot and hit the spot.
What an awesome find! Touched by their thoughtfulness as they plated our pancakes separately when they knew we were sharing, taking the effort and to decorate each plate beautifully! Blueberries were warm and juicy. Caramelised bananas were delicious. The cream was light. And everything just went very well with the pancakes.
This cafe, just along the state highway, beats any high-end restaurant FLAT for hospitality.nThey proactively plated our order into 2 when they heard us say that we will be sharing the meal.nBlown away.nAnd the portion per plate was generous! The blueberries were juicy and plentiful and the pancake simply yumz.nA shout-out to the family who runs this cafe!!! AWESOME!
Beautiful cafe in the main road. The biggest scone I ever ate, fresh, artisan. A great double expresso and a souvenir of local artist
