At first, reading negative reviews kind of scared me, considering I'm just a backpacker from the other side of the world and English is my second language. I don't know why anyone would give this place a negative review. Everything is clearly separated with big signs, prices are available on the official website, and the staff was lovely. In fact, the person in front of the skips was even more friendly and welcoming than the receptionist at the 5-star hotel I stayed at in Blenheim.
Easily the worst customer service experience I’ve had in recent years. Staff at the waste transfer station were bordering on abusive they were so rude, and I thought we were going to get caught in a physical altercation at one stage because the manager a solid guy with loads of tattoos was so aggressive in his demeanour and approach.nnThis was all in while I was over from Australia for a week trying to help my sister clear out our parents house as our father passed away late last year and our mother is now in a dementia ward. The staff were not to know that, but that’s irrelevant and absolutely no excuse for what amounted to bullying.nnI managed to lodge an official complaint with Marlborough District Council before returning to Australia last week, so hopefully the staff are reprimanded for this abhorrent behaviour and are a lot more civil to other customers.
Great convenient and reasonably priced facility. Everyone I've encountered there has been friendly and ready to help.
Always found staff helpful. Amazing how many negative reviews regarding the temporary facility after a fire! Yes, it was frustrating, but what choice did they have? Close down while rebuilding? I for one am grateful they kept operating despite the nightmare it must have been for them. Thanks team.
This place operates like an apocalyptic yard. Confusing signs/signposts if you're there the first time. Not senior citizen friendly.nThe green waste area personnel seem to operate with a grudgingly mood.nOnce you get past the mental agony, it is reasonably priced for all types of waste.
