Weekday sessions for 0-5 year olds, Monday to Friday from 9:15am to 11:45am. $30 per term.

Story

Playcentre offers children:
Daily sessions of mixed age groupings which allow siblings to attend together.
A variety of self-selected play activities and comprehensive quality equipment.
High adult to child ratios.
A brand new Outdoor Learning Environment.

Playcentre acknowledges and supports parents as the first and most important educators of their children. Involvement of family/whānau is a key feature of Playcentre and parents and children learn together. Every Playcentre adult is offered free adult education that will give them the skills and confidence for parenting and working with children.

The education environment at Playcentre includes a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities. With parent teams guiding and supporting children, they are introduced to the interests and skills of a wide range of parent- educators. Through learning in a supportive play environment, children develop the curiosity and courage to try new things and the motivation to extend themselves. Playcentres are co-operatively managed and supervised by parents with support from experienced Association and Federation personnel.

Playcentre is committed to being bicultural. We honour and are guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We operate on partnership and encourage the use of te reo me ona tikanga Māori in Playcentre.
