Came here yesterday to order takeaway for pasta and pizza. This is probably one of the best pizzas I’ve had and the customer service was awesome! Definitely could sense awesome vibes from this place. Will definitely be back soon!! Vegetarian options: So many options with pizza and the flavour is absolutely yum!!! Kid-friendliness: Customer service is friendly Parking: Plenty of parking spaces

Great place, with a varied menu that catered well to our whole group. Staff were lovely too, especially Brenna. We are returning customers as we appreciate the really nice food and the lovely service. We got there recently, on a Saturday early evening short after 5 pm, quite spontaneously. That’s something we felt we were punished for, as we didn’t have a booking. The lady at the counter didn’t make us feel welcome at all and treated us like a burden. She placed us into a tiny side room on a table facing the door to the toilets - the naughty corner, at least that’s how it felt to us. The waitress that served us in the end was super nice and the food was excellent! But the whole experience had a bit of a bitter taste to it. Quite sad, if you can’t pop into a restaurant on a Saturday evening for a drink and something to eat we did mention that we didn’t plan to stay long as we had tickets to a theatre show at 7pm, so we wouldn’t have occupied the table for too long anyway. And this is before tourism has picked up again! Well, a learning for us and a place we might cross of the list next time we’re coming over to Kerikeri, sadly.

We have been to Black Olive many times and will continue to keep going. The food & service is great, they are friendly and accomodating to our two young children which makes all the difference to be able to go out to dinner! Kid-friendliness: A nice kids menu accompanied with a sundae! Parking: Good number of parks available and lots of off street parking nearby

Fabulous restaurant & the decor is so nice they have different little areas to suit all kinds. Booked a table of 5 & then a party of 15 were seated soon after, it didn't make a bit of difference our food came out quick & easy as if we were the only guests dining. Excellent menu so well cooked. Definitely our ho to restaurant.

Amazing food and service, I highly recommend the Pizzas and the sticky toffee pudding is a must! Absolutely delicious, so save space for dessertFood: 5/5

A popular place to dine, no surprises there. The food is fabulously presented and tastes devine. The waitstaff are charming and friendly and a real pleasure to deal with. We chose The Black Olive as our dining place while on holiday, in Kerikeri. The Sangria is delicious and refreshing so try try try.

A wonderful restaurant. The food was wonderful. Started with a garlic pesto pizza, the pastry amazingly light, and so tasty! Seafood risotto was perfect, the seafood fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce in chicken and mushroom fettucine was to die for...highly recommend! The service was excellent.

Friday 18/8/17 group for farewell gathering. Chicken risotto was great. Steak was cooked to my likeing but the mushroom sauce was over powered by tomato flavour like sauce. Fish n chips was nice. What I found a problem was the gas heaters, not enough ventilation. Great staff and service. Oh the banana split....yummy had it for starter...I'd go there again and have pizza...everyone I saw looked great.
